What are the options it gives you when you “choose file?”

Don't have a Galaxy but when at "choose file" I select "share file" and then my email. I then open up my email on my computer and download pic and place it on my desktop. When I want to upload a file here I hit browse and select desktop. locate pic and upload. Probably an easier way but works for me.

    Tap the choose file
    Mine defaults to downloads
Tap the menu icon in the upper left
This should give you your places to pull from

From that screen I select "File", not "My Files" and this is the screen I get next. Then I can choose gallery. Screenshot_20180218-133537.jpg

I have a Galaxy 8s and my sequence is...
    Hit upload file
    Hit choose file
    Hit my files
    Hit Internal Storage
Hit DCIM or DOWNLOADS or RESTORED or where ever your images are saved.
Select your image(s) and hit Done

Any photos I take go to Google photos but to upload a pic to the forum I have to go to Google photos and save that pic to the device which will put it in downloads. Images that you save from the interweb will be in your download file and pics in Google Drive, after being saved to your device, should be in Restored. It sounds like alot of steps but is really pretty easy after you've done it a few times.
