i know a bunch of you passed along your condolences earlier this morning. i'm just now catching up on stuff and don't have the energy to scroll back and find everything. so, here's an umbrella thank you.

my father has a very long and deep history with the day job that i have. many of you, especially those of you in oil&gas and/or manufacturing, use many of the components that his work history has developed. this morning, i sent out a eulogy of sorts to everyone i could remember or had emails for. if i didn't have contact info, somehow they received it anyway. probably that weird facebook/linkedin thing-a-majig. the responses have brought both smiles and tears. it's a double edged sword who others saw him and were treated by him and how it was having him as a father.

 

I applied for a job like yours in my area and never hear anything back. Have to know someone who knows someone around here unfortunately.
