i have a 2006 SR5 double cab with the venerable old 4.7L V-8. The last couple oil changes it gave less oil than it usually takes, but not much less, so I thought it was no big deal. Today, I crossed 193,000 miles and popped the hood and it looks like I might have a slow oil leak. Has anybody had this before or heard about this happening?

Notice the black around where it appears there’s a leak. it’s slow (almost no change in oil pressure and it’s just a tad low on the dip stick).1211F419-0783-4E24-8C15-9EA91BDE23CC.jpg2222A631-4ABA-4595-A9DD-8A8150704D82.jpg

Should be a pretty minor leak in that area. It's a pretty involved procedure for the cam seals so if it were me I'd put it off until the next timing belt change.

    Good info here
