Im about to install my AMP PS's, is it a good idea to use a Loctite Heavy Duty Threadlocker on the bolt and screws prior, if so is this the best brand to use, blue or red any difference! Also anyone who has installed already, any pointers or tips, thanks!

    Thanks

I used the standard red. Test fit the rails before you decide to cut them. Amp says cut 13" off the end for a DC, for example, I actually installed them uncut, and I like it! Not sure what their advice is for CM. Dump those silly clips that attach the plastic motor covers and just use zip-ties.

Thanks, yeah I'm sure I just leave as is and uncut for my CM!

    Fyi,
Grab some silicon spray lube for passing the wire for the lights through the gromet. Would be a bitch without.

For CM, the instructions I had when installing them in early 2016 said NOT to cut them for CM. The shorter length is for DC. As for Locktitie, I did not use any, however I did torque to spec used them a few weeks and torqued them again. I always recommend to check the attachment bolts when you change the oil (just to use timing as a guide), but since the first re-torque, I have not had anything loosen up. Locktitie is probably a good idea.
I also do agree to use zip-ties instead of those clips.
