***update*** I know I am going to disappoint a bunch of you guys but I will not be building any more of these units. I am canceling this feeler. I built a few and did my financing and after everything is done I’m not really making anything on these units. They take up a lot more time to put together and test than I anticipated and I honestly don’t have the time of day for it. For those that still interested in one, PM @Sting Ray as he has a post for a similar unit in the marketplace.

Hey guys/gals. I was bored and built myself and a few buddies a unit to automatically disable traction control when you start your truck. It’s very simple to install and retains your original traction control button. So if you want to re-enable TC just push the TC button and done. I have only tested this on a 3rd gen so not sure if it works on a 2nd gen. If someone local to me wants to test it on a second gen let me know.

Installing it is simple. Only tools needed would be a 10mm ratchet , pliers and a plastic panel tool. 1 ground and 2 wire taps. No cutting so you can completely remove it if needed. Of course I will include everything needed for install(parts, connectors) including installation instructions.

*This unit is for off-road only vehicles as disabling traction control is not recommended for driving on public roads. I am not responsible for any damage(s) done to your vehicle by installing this unit. Install at your own risk.

Let me know how many of you would be interested. If I have enough interests I will build some and sell them for $70 shipped/paypal’d. I would need a minimum of 10 people.

This is my first prototype. Final product will be slightly different with connectors installed.

Sweet. I’ll let you know. What’s the sequence you have to press your TC button to fully disable TC?

Here it is in action. Near the end of video I pressed the tc button to enable tc.
Keep in mind with this mod, if you start moving before the sequence is complete it won’t turn off tc due to the truck sensing speed. No walk around that since you can’t turn off tc while vehicle is in motion w the original button. You can then do it manually or it will occur again at next startup.
