Drivers side. I’m trying to get this door off and this harness is kicking my ass. Any tips?

You usually have to pry a tab away from the assembly which will allow you to pull the connector out.

I believe I can see one of those tabs in the pic. On the right side of the connector...

There's three tabs if I'm not mistaken. One on each side and the top. Use a spudger or mini Flathead and it pops off

Yep^^^^^^^upload_2018-1-13_12-56-49.jpgEveryone should have a spudger set. Not expensive either.

So, turns out there are two locking mechanisms and it’s in there tight. On the left in this picture is an interesting locking mechansim where you pull up on the side and it moves a hook inside the housing that unhooks the harness adapter. On the right side is an obvious tab. The trick was to release out upward pressure on the harness from the housing - this allowed both to unhook at the same time.

Now the question is, why are you taking the door off?

You will love the road noise reduction with the sound deadening material. When I did my door speakers, I used Kilmat everywhere I could put it. Can barely hear any road noise with the windows up.
