Looks like a fun easy trail. That first water crossing is hard to judge from the video but I don't think it would be a problem.

Update: we are unfortunately out for this trip. Coming from SLO the night before and having to drive 2.5+ from home one way with the tiny terror seems a little cumbersome. I wish you all the best and will have to live vicariously through you and all the awesome pics you post. Thanks for setting this up originally. I have also removed my vote too.

    Good with me!
    I'm secretly relieved....
Last year we had WAAAAY more rain than this year (although I can't recall when that started, I think it was before January), so I'm hoping there won't be more water than this.

I'm thinking about that video you posted, @Marty McFly, about your water crossing into that play park-- in assuming that was deeper with more current, and you didn't suck up water....

I am still very averse to pinstripes (sorry, but I've got fewer than 5k miles on it, and it's Inferno!!!), so I'll be the one to carry a set of loppers (her name is Cyndi).

@eccracer104, do you know what this person was driving? If it was a Jeep or a Tacoma, that bit at 25:05 looks damned narrow. I guess we'll know when we get there!
I totally understand. There's definitely a bunch of people that have checked in that live closer to you than to me, so another run up in Riverside Co will likely follow soon. Plus, President @Marty McFly has promised representation throughout his SoCal district!

Also, @nishibot, and I are maybe gonna meet 2/12 if we can find a route close to Temecula; at least an hour closer to you, and with good sit down places (with patios for kids to run around) are probably plentiful. We'll keep you posted.

Haha all the pinstripes for you! :p

Kidding, can't say I blame you with such a new truck! And the beautiful Inferno!

Nope, idk what the guy was driving, we can see when we get there. If it's too narrow we can turn back, no biggie

Cyndi Lauper reference, good one
I didn't have any issues with sucking up water or anything for that matter. And I'm not going to lie I did not have my breather mod either :anonymous:
As far as pinstripes, I understand where you are coming from. I cry a little everyday  it was definitely not my intention and I had been very good about not getting them up to that point. But it happens, and after years of therapy, I think I'll be ok :goingcrazy:

Also, I think we need a recount on that president situation :help: lol

Not to divert the conversation, but has anyone done any off roading in Gorman? Is that worth the drive and have good trails for it? Just looking for future reference, not trying to move this meet up at all. Thanks in advance!

We have several trails here in SB but Riverside is prob more of a middle ground between the SD and SB folks.

I meant 2/10. That date of the holiday Monday was stuck in my brain b/c I keep track of school holiday, but I have to work it too. I need to drive up to Temecula Saturday 2/10, so that's when I'm planning to do a little dirt-road exploring.

I think the two we're planning for this first meet are CA state parks. :notsure:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these may not be shooting :quickdraw:friendly...?

Man, not in decades. I still kinda know people with connections in that area. Probably take a little time, but I can probably get some info on what's there now. Used to be good stuff stretching through that whole area... "Landscatter"; Castaic & Pyramid Lake; Pine Mountain....

Never been but I'd like to. My lady had a bad experience up there (I'll tell people in person) sooooo we're not going up there anytime soon haha. I've heard it great though. Also a lot of OHV trails for dirtbikes and UTVs and what not.

 I'm not against it, but my back seat is WAAAAAAY smaller than a crew max. Front seat is just fine if there's just one person

Not near Lower Coyote, but next to the entrance of Sandstone is some open BLM shooting area.

I'm leaving the rifle at home but will bring my pistol. @Porschetech29 will have his as well. We figured if everyone gets along well enough that no one is nervous of once strangers (hopefully now friends) with guns we'll pop off a few rounds. If time permits of course. We may be crunched on time, not really sure yet haha.

Hungry Valley SVRA? We drove through it to get to Alamo Mountain. It's a giant 4x4 park. Alamo Mountain is a pretty easy trail, should be able to do with a stock Tundra. But you either need someone who knows where they're going or mapped out on GPS. It would be pretty easy to get lost up there. Here's some pics and couple short clips on Alamo Mountain.

Nothing in Perris, but there is Bee canyon out towards Hemet. Never been there to wheel but went last weekend to try and shoot the pew pews but too dry. Maybe now that it has rained they may let us shoot again. Saw some side by sides going back in the hills so maybe some short trails.

TT? Sorry not sure what that is.

It's yellow post camping up there, so nothing more than a bench and a fire pit. We all tent camp and pack extra blankets this time of year!

This is our usual camp spot entrance
    IMG_5012.jpg

And my "tent" haha. I take the spare out when my gf and I are in there, but just me this time so I left it.

    2011 Tundra 5.7 4x4 CM
Ooooh. Gotcha. An off-road TT would make it up there just fine! If it's long and low you may have some issues as there are a few pretty rutted out sections. I'll be passenger in my ladies truck this trip so I'll do my best to get plenty of pictures.

Sorry, can’t drive down this weekend. But yes, I wouldn’t recommend going there alone as a beginner. The terrain isn’t difficult, actually a pretty good trail for starters with 4wd, it’s just more the navigating that’s difficult. I was following my buddy Mark, I probably would have gotten lost without him. @eccracer104 would probably be good to have with you.
