it's below freezing in North Texas and I've used remote start (aftermarket Viper) to warm things up. Both times the engine has started, died, and restarted. Is this normal or should I start troubleshooting?

Same thing happened to my wife's car last winter when we installed the remote start. Had to fire it up twice every morning. Couple weeks later I did the 10k service myself and the oil was dark as f*k (original factory oil:() from there it started the first try every time.
