In 2014 my Purple(maroon) 1999 F250 (light Duty), whomever thought that was a good idea is an idiot, rotted away such that I could no longer receive an inspection sticker. Poor truck only had 167k miles on the odometer, I only owned it for 7 years and accumulated 30k worth of mileage (when the dam readout would stay light long enough to read the numbers). Not a bad experience however since the F250 was a typical truck that had needs for the mileage and I learned many things. (some things still escape me to this day such as why the battery light would flicker with a new alternator/battery and cleaned grounds). I learned more about fixing 4wd on snowy days/CV joints/Brake lines (always buy best flare tool you can afford first). I learned how to uncouple a rear Diff/ replace dust shields(learned what broken rear parking brake shoe sounds like when it fails apart)

So I took to the internet to find a "new to me" truck. In a sea of Chevys/Fords I stumbled upon a 2010 Tundra. Leveled with Rims and around 90K miles I figured it would be worth a look. (Pics from the ad shown above)

Upon seeing the truck in person I was smitten. After a few long weeks of getting the previous owner to finally agree to sell me the truck. (He finally admitted to me at the loan signing that he regretted selling and was hoping I'd lose interest).

I took ownership of a 2010 Black 4WD 5.7L with a modest 89k on the odometer. She stood out with the level Kit up front and spacers in the rear with 20" rims (was advertised as having 22") and 33" Nitto Mud Grapplers, pocket flairs installed and some stereo work (Sub/Tweeters/LCD screen)including Nav/Dvd/Blue tooth/back-up camera etc. Previous owner had even installed crush velvet in the headboard. Which actually makes the inside pretty nice. A few proud bumps and bruises (previous owner had a trailer rear ended that took out his tonneau cover caused a new tailgate install, also somehow dented the passenger side door including the rocker panel(it doesn't leak).

I took ownership. First things first changed the oils & filters/ engine/transmission(miserable experience)/Brake & Power steering fluid and coolant/ diff/ and transfer case, cleaned the air and cabin filters and swapped the spark plugs. A installed a new serpentine belt with new idler pulley (learned from the ford that a small squeak can lead to a broken belt pretty quick). Also had to fix the broken/stripped antenna (replaced housing) and installed a firestick. Then had the bed line-x done in NH.

Since ownership I've replaced the tires with Nitto ridge Grapplers this last fall/ installed heated seats last fall/ installed billstiens front and rears shocks this past spring/ LEDs in the bed in Nov/Silverstars for headlights bulbs/installed the MPG switch/installed a 2nd hand xtang Tri-fold rear cover/ This past fall installed SS lines and new brake pads/ rebuilt the rear calipers just because & cleaned up and painted the fronts. Truck also took a new water pump at 91k miles. Installed tow mirrors last summer.

She only averages about 12.5 to 13.5 gallons per mile but I'm a 95% city driver/sometimes tow a snowmobile two place clamshell trailer. (currently I walk to work (its a mile) so the truck only goes to daycare once a day.

I'm an avid Fluid Filmer in the fall and so far I've been happy with truck.

Wish list includes 35" tires/6" lift/Supercharger/ and just goes and goes thanks to this forum.

I'll work on getting some new pictures to post.
