Well, I researched trucks off and on for three years. After I got over the sticker shock and accepted the fact trucks are EXPENSIVE I pulled the trigger on a brand new truck. This is my FIRST brand new vehicle ever. Normally I buy used but couldn't justify the little difference in price between new and old.

I looked at Chevy 1500 & 2500 and as a 20 year Chevy guy I thought that was the way to go. I really like the way they look but decided against it due to back seat not being as comfortable as the Tundra or the F150 and folks are starting to have issues with the 8 speed transmission.

I looked at Ford F150 and 250. They have some cool features but they are quite a bit more expensive and the F150 didn't have much power. The 250 is just way too big and takes a football field to turn them around.

I had first struggled with the Tundra fuel economy but once I realized it is more like a 3/4 ton and the towing power it has I accepted this. Actually what people don't talk about is many of the other engines from Ford and Chevy really want premium gas. Once you factor in the price difference of premium gas, you are actually out less money on the Tundra.

Anyway, I had no idea there was such a following on the Tundra so I thought I would join the group....why not. I have already done a bunch to the truck as I didn't care for it stock. I will share pics once I take ownership of the truck on Tuesday.

too funny. Yeah I have already spent a huge pile of cash making changes. I didn't like the look of stock on the Tundra.....looks like a toy truck. Personally I think a 275 55 R20 tire is too low of a profile tire for a truck.....looks like a car tire on a truck......those had to go immediately. So needless to say I have some brand new wheels and tires for sale if anyone is looking.
