Oh yeah more thing......

 

I was kidding around with you. You're right , we always have several threads going about stuff that needs fixing.

But "we" prefer to pretend this isn't so, the rest of the time. So we can feel okay about doing without creature comforts and conveniences available as standard equipment on other makes' trucks. Like going to a movie or the theatre, it's best if you're willing to 'suspend your disbelief'.


(By "we", I mean a lot of us. If you're a literal kinda person, that's fine. But a lot of us kinda go along with ideas that promote feeling good about our truck payments, and make the forum more fun too!)

Your point deserves a response. The most important function these forums (Ford Chevy, fiat, or Toyota) serve is to provide information and support for owners with questions and “issues”. So, of course, most threads are about these. What is significant, isn’t that there are issues, but what they are. I’m not sure about the statistical breakdown but will guess, more than 1/2 of our Tundra issues are self inflicted, ie, lighting upgrades that blow fuses, lift upgrades that negatively impact other components, or stuff like this. Probably 1/2 the remaining “issues” are whining about lack of storage, lack of high tech gadgets and complaints about the fuel gauge or bad mileage.
How does that compare with the “issues” on your favorite fiat or ford forum?

you were my first favourite on this forum. Ever' since you PM'd me about how to get started organizing a group by. More when I found out why you named your truck Nancy. And now this. I figure your signature line is probably pretty accurate; no reason left to toss smack, once you've learned enough to be confident.

We baked pies in a BGE (Kamado actually) on Thanksgiving during a power outage one time.

I spent a lot of time on TW when I had my tacoma. Even the dealers can’t deny the issues with the 3rd Gen Taco. I lived it.

lol...who mentioned guns? I was going to post a picture of my 1911 EASILY fitting in my Tundra center console and saying, "Another reason to buy a Tundra"...but I'm getting sent out to the store to buy last-minute Christmas stuff. (But I'll have my Glock inside my waistband...God I love conceal carry laws!)

 

This is what makes this forum great! I’m gonna help anyone I can and I’ve received help myself.
Plus I always know I will be broke buying more mods!

 

I've been on quite a few forums, covering a variety of interests, over the last 15 or so years and I'd have to say this is one of the better ones.

Lots of great tech info, which is my area of interest, and some good natured shenanigans. Although every board has it's "Richard Craniums" I haven't seen a lot of that here, which is refreshing. I'd say the maturity level here is a step above and the folks here seem to be willing to go the extra mile to help each other.

Oh! a shout out to @Areith762 who's a great example of what the folks on here are all about. I responded to one of his items on the "pay it forward" thread and asked him how he'd like me to pay for the shipping and he replied "Shipping is on me". What a nice gesture!

I used to be on gmfullsize.com and they were a bunch of childish azzes. every question you had they made you feel like an idiot for not knowing the answer. Or if you asked about an aftermarket part they would give you a nasty opinion and tell you it was crap even though they had never done it or seen it. This site has been my favorite of all my car/truck sites. Everyone is easy going and respectful. Nobody trashes a newbie who wasnt born full of Tundra knowledge. Everyone is here to help

 

The camaraderie between everyone and knowledge shared. I'll admit one of the first reasons for joining this site over the other Tundra forums was ease of use of the site itself, other sites were either really laggy for some reason or had ads or not easy to use etc. After reading a while and posting, I see that the ladies and gents here (if any are very lady-like or gentlemen-like ), while may not always agree on things, respect the opinions of others and do so in a humorous way (like how MGM is obviously the best color, am I right?). This is what I like most, honest opinions and helpful knowledge without dickish delivery. While yes, some replies may sound irritated to repetitive questions like "can I fit 40's on stock suspension?", there's always those who direct them with links to existing information.

And apparently we all agree the best way to enjoy pie is without hair.
