Rear seat under storage

    has anyone here ever tried installing a Second Gen under storage like this in a third gen Tundra? Just curious to know. image.jpg

    Don't think anything changed from 2nd to 3rd gen double cab rear seat. Just the seat fabric. Maybe someone who has had both will chime in

    The area below the rear seat (crew max) is a lot deeper in the 3rd gen so your storage box looks really shallow.

    Not sure which model you are referring to, but the crew max is different than the double cab. Crew max has seat supports that separate the sections and are more distinct than double cab as I recall. If you look at the ESP Truck Accessories' under seat storage installation instructions, you'll see what I mean. Their new long box has new support braces used to replace and reinforce where the braces normally run. When I installed my ESP rear seat "aluminum" box, I was surprised to see the supports in the floor board (my box uses 3 distinct storage sections designed around these seat supports). I do not think the box you reference will easily fit in a crew cab.
