I am wondering if anyone has been able to do this yet? I know the TSS causes a problem when trying to put a TRD grill on the 2018. I am wondering if a work around has been done?
Is there anyway to leave the sensor attached to the emblem behind the TRD grill and maybe tied onto something? I do like the look of the TRD grill so I wanted to explore all options.

I think it might be possible if you have a plastic shield underneath the emblem and is attached behind the grill portion. See picture of the TRD pro for Tacoma for 2018.
That’s what they did to make it work.

That's a good idea. I guess if the TSS system "thinks" it is still hooked up, it won't be lighting up the dash display telling you something is wrong with the system.:)
