I have a 2018 DC OR with Michelins. We got our second snow of the year with snow that compressed into the slick nasty stuff. This thing was surprisingly good in it! I had a 2016 access cab 4x4 v-6 TACOMA and that was decent. I grew up in Massachusetts so I have driven V8 vehicles in some nasty snow and this is my second favorite vehicle to drive in snowy conditions. First place goes to our AWD Honda CR-V.
    :crapstorm:

Anyway... Anybody else have this experience with the Tundra?

I still have the stock Michelin's on my 14' TRD Off Road, they seem to do surprisingly well, especially for how they look, but I haven't compared them to anything on the Tundra. I too came from a Tacoma, maybe it's just because the Tundra is heavier?

I think my next tire will be the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO2. After looking at that tread I expect a night/day difference in snow, they look like monsters compared to the stock tires.

My stock Duelers are junk, tundra slides all over the place, doesn't stop or turn worth $***... BFG AT KO2's shipping from customoffsets in the next few days! I'm hoping for significant improvement before the next storm. It's snowing lightly here right now, just enough to make it slick.. spent most of the ride home from work drifting it sideways.

I quickly got rid of my TOYO’s when the snow set in. I always run a full winter tire and will put my TOYO’s back on in May

My stock tires (BFG Rugged Trail) did horrible in snow after a couple of years of doing okay. I thought Nitto Trail Grappler did much better than stock tires, but after getting DuraTrac for my wife's van (4x2), I am sold on its winter traction. I wish they offered it in 295/70/18.

Not surprised that those Michelins do well on packed snow. As chphilo just mentioned above is true imho. My DuraTracs did very well over in packed snow conditions. My Cooper M/T STTPros and ST Maxxs do great in deep snow. Most M/Ts suck in packed icy/snow as far as traction. The Maxxs perform OK in those conditions but nothing beats a good true winter tire.

Yup. I'm looking hard at getting a set of studded hakkapeliitta 9s after my current set of dedicated winter tires are spent. Probably next winter, I mean if it ever snows here again.

With the lack of snow I’m thinking about some racing slicks for January

Need more sidewall for the ruts, potholes and expansion joints.
