    Hello all. I recently moved from Charlotte, NC to Daytona Beach, FL. I am currently not a Tundra owner (2008 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Sport), but am slowly starting the process of looking for one to buy. I'm set on CrewMax, and will most likely go TRD Off Road, but I'd like to see a TRD Sport in person before I brush it to the side.

    I will probably not post much on this board until I have taken some time to read over some of the past threads and drooled over all the beautiful Tundras.

    Sorry for the long introduction, and an advanced thank you for all the welcomes and advice!

    Well, I thought I'd be getting a Tundra yesterday. I found a 2016 Platinum that was listed for $38,999 and had less than 20K miles. Inquired on it and set up a test drive. It was at a dealership 2.5 hours away, so I made it a four days in advance. Well 2 days before the test drive, I check the site I found it on and it jumped up $4,000 so I emailed the person I set up the test drive with. She stated she spoke to a manager and they would honor the lower listed price (I had a screenshot of the price that I emailed to her). Well I make the drive to Treasure Coast Toyota of Stuart and test drove the truck. They were aware of the price difference, and I showed them the email where it stated the price would be honored. Well a manager comes over and essentially tells me it was a typo price and they would try and give me an extra $1,000 on my trade in (They low balled me by about $3,000 to begin with). They showed me the write up on the truck and it jumped to $45,000, and let me know they wouldn't give me the $38,999 that was promised to me.

    Had the test drive just not worked out, had I just simply not liked the truck, I would've been fine with the drive and time taken to get there. I knew what I was doing when I set up the test drive. But to have them basically lie to me just to get me there (Title and USAA loan in hand) really annoyed me.

    Well, I'm still looking around. A local dealership said they have a Cement SR5 Crewmax on the way so I may go look at that.
