yea I nailed some of his advice by keeping my king shocks at 2-2.5" ride height for maximum performance and I won't change that. Ill be adding uniball UCA's more than likely TC then maybe deaver k37s in the rear and bomb the CA desert once that setup is complete and see if it makes me happy before i change the valving/tuning and definitely before i want to upgrade to bypasses and relocate shock mounts

I haven't talked to Filthy Motorsports yet, but I intend to. After watching his videos my current plan is adjustable Kings all the way around. I'll probably go 2-2.5" in front. I'm not sure about the UCAs as I've decided to keep the truck close to stock because I'll probably sell it when the all new truck comes out, and less modified trucks are easier to sell.

Anyway, adjustable Kings, maybe UCAs (if necessary), diff drop (if necessary), air bags for towing (If possible. I don't tow my boat often), and stock leaf springs. My driving is 99% on road so I want a better than stock ride with the ability to adjust for mild off road running. A lot of this depends on tires too and I'm shooting for 295/70/r18 (34.3") max. I'm still unsure about the wheels, but 18s with 25+mm offset is my current thinking or stock wheels. I'm not crazy about tires far outside the fenders and mud flaps.

One important aspect that most folks don't think about is side wall height and stiffness. This can really impact ride. The Michelin 275/65/18s that come with the TRD Off Road are pretty soft in my opinion, so when I add stiffer/stronger tires the ride will change. The good news is that the taller sidewalls of the 295/70s should help, at least that is my supposition.

Along these lines I looked at using 17" wheels to increase sidewall height, but the market does not provide a good solution here. The Six Speed wheels are not hub centric which a a no-go for me. The Methods are a possibility, but the offsets are limited. Then I started to look at tire selection for 17". I don't want a 12 or 12+ inch wide tire because it makes it more difficult to fit a taller tire. But I want more height for ground clearance and sidewall height. The 17" inch tire selection falls down here in the 33" range, so I'm back to 18" wheels in the 33-34" range.

Here in the west my driving is much more often on snow and ice than mud (its dry here), therefore, wide tires will help with sand, yes, but hurt on snow.

FINALLY, Kings have a good reputation, but so do many of the other options. I wish I could find a really good comparison between Kings, ICON, ADS, Fox and Bilstein.
