If you like doing it, or want to do it... you can’t do it.

Yea, it probably isn't far off if I had to guess. We have a teacher here where I work that is ex-military. It's a shame he can't carry. We have one officer, but hard for him to cover the whole school. At least one of us in each section would be nice...

I work for my local school district. The scenario has crossed my mind quite a few times of what I would do. I’d like to think I would do everything in my power to stop it. I know from past experience I’m the type to run towards danger instead of away from it, after I’ve assessed the situation. I hope I never have to. But being a father makes me want to make sure I can do everything humanly possible to protect the children.

I’ve made suggestions to superiors that it would be nice if a few of us could carry on school grounds. I’d be willing to go through all training necessary to do so. But this is California and you know how that goes. Never happen!

I’d say my condolences, but that means jack shit to the families. But this does make me very sad.

    Still rolling stock baby....

    My .02,

When this country goes back to the days of spanking children when they get out of line, when parents will once again set boundries that when crossed discipline is the end result.
When "safe zones" from mean words are done away with. When participation trophies are no longer given out and kids are taught how to me good winners and losers, yes folks sometimes you lose in life. Deal with it.
When music that glorifies rape, murder, drugs etc is no longer touted as ok to listen to.
When children are taught respect for elders and the law. When pride in ones self is taught and in the country you live.
When kids are allowed to have a fist fight and settle it, a few bleeding lips and noses will not kill them and will teach them to stand up for themselves, goes back to the respect thing again.
When we go back to one parent being home when the kids get home from school, yes I believe that is a very important part of a childs young years, having that parent that they know will be there when they get home from school.

I can go on, but will stop, flame away, these are my beliefs.

Btw I have had my nose busted a few times and busted a few others, heck its crooked to this day, but I don't back down from a fight, if I need to I will, and I have respect for myself.
