    So im wanting to move my dvr out of my office in to a more secure location. Where is every1 mounting theirs? Also are you using a battery back up? If so what are your recomendations? Thanks every1 for ur input

    Moving the DVR could be difficult, you will have to reroute all the camera cables that connect to the back of the DVR. If you have a 2 story house and you dvr is on the first floor, rerouting the cables could involve opening up walls.
    Then if you have a monitor that is hard wired to the DVR, you either have to move the monitor or run a video cable.
    I have an APC 1500 UPS powering my DVR, monitor, and the camera power transformers. The ups keeps it powered up for 45-60 minutes.
