What else is needed for the BBQ?

I think we are still looking for some pans for cooking, in case we aren't able to get a grill, Joon and Warren are bringing the burners. Other than that, maybe side dishes or dessert.
Are you bringing anyone with you or are you solo? Trying to finalize the headcount.

 

+1 with me and a buddy is bringing his Tacoma as well. I can bring a case of waters, a side dish, chips and cookies.

 

GodlessPro, whats this talk of securing a grill.... do I need to bring a webber?

 

We think they have some there but never know if they’ll be available. If it’s not too much trouble it won’t hurt to bring. We can always cook the burgers on the burners. Which way are you driving? Are you going to caravan with us?

 

Not sure which route yet. That early the AM, 101, across Bay Bridge, up 80 isn't so bad. I will load up the webber.

 

We shouldn't need it, but I won't stop you if it isn't difficult for you. I verified with the Ranger that the grills are available in the pit area and it doesn't look like there are any special events going on that would make it crowded, plus Joon and Warren are bringing their stoves.

@nishibot you and everyone else in SoCal are welcome to join us.

 

It looks like our "Yes" headcount is at 10-11 right now. Let's plan on an even dozen for lunch, so go get your shopping done. We might end up with extra food or perhaps some of the people on the "Maybe" list will pop in and eat it all.

When you arrive at the gate and pay your $5, you can ask the Ranger for a map and also how to get to the 4x4 pit area. If you look at the map that I linked to in the first post, you should be able to see that you take two lefts and then a right into the pit. We'll start there to do a round of introductions and then we can branch off into whatever craziness you feel like taking part in. If you aren't able to show up at 10am, it isn't a problem, you should easily be able to find one of us driving around when you arrive.

Anyone that hasn't signed up, you are still welcome to drop by and join us, even if it is only for a few minutes. If you are going to be there around lunch time, it is possible that we will have extra food to share, but you might want to plan on bringing a sandwich or something.

I haven't posted an end time, but I suspect that we will probably be there until at least 2pm. If we get done and still have plenty of daylight, I have an idea for an party run or even a backup plan if we aren't having fun at Prairie City.

 

I'll probably bring 18 Bubba Burgers since they sell in packs of 6 I believe. So we'll have enough for anyone that just shows up. I might have to eat 2. Matt, bring 18 buns. @Tundra4us, bring lettuce and tomatoes. Probably won't need too many other condiments since there will be Bacon and Avacado.
