What did you pay for on your 2018 Tundra?

Hi guys I’ve been lurking around here for a month or so now. I’m debating about trading my 2013 Tacoma in for a 2018 limited double cab Tundra 4X4. I got an eprice quote on one for $41,138 which I think is a great deal. After fees and taxes it’ll be around 43,000-44,000 I’m guessing. KBB trade in value of my Tacoma is around 24,500. What did you all pay for your tundras? I hate negotiating price with dealers and I’m going to have a hard time giving up the Taco but man I want some power and more bed space.

I had 4 second gen tacomas before my Tundra and the only thing I miss is the Pyrite Mica color

if the dealer can net me a good deal and swap over my king shocks to a brand new 2018 limited 4x4 crewmax, I would do it now!

Kinda frustrated looked over the truck today in better lighting as I couldn’t at the dealership because it was getting dark (I looked it over when I test drove it but the truck was dirty from sitting for a week or two). Found a spot where the clear coat was rubbed out... I know it’s a truck and I intend to use it as one but dang a new truck shouldn’t have that. I’m going to guess the vehicle detailers saw a scratch and tried to take off some clear coat. I’m going to see what the dealership will do for me. Am I overreacting?

But on the plus side you can tell the dealer to buff it out.

A little 3M Petfect-It on a foam pad with a high speed buffer and it will look like a mirror.

Make sure the dealer has an experienced detailer and not a snot nosed kid or porter do it.

 

And you are not overreacting. You bought a new truck and they come without scratches.
