Adding myself to the front seat....best thing ever! Working on exhaust upgrade for better sound
    Hi everybody,

Just got my New 2018 Tundra a few weeks ago. It was a much needed upgrade
from my GMC Sierra 2500 6.0 stick shift from 2000' with 210.000 miles on it, and
an embarrassingly dirty, destroyed interior and a survivable exterior.

    I absolutely love my Tundra!!!

I'm here to stay tuned with what I can do and get help with whatever comes up for me.

Primarily I'm interested in upgrading my exhaust to something not too loud, but still
substantially better than what is stock. Could anyone please direct me to the threads
that I'm sure is quite extensive?

I'm looking for all aspects of this upgrade, prices, is it worth doing the whole dual srd
dual exhaust vs just muffler and so on. My dealeship is getting back to me after the
weekend with some prices and ideas.

As far as what I'm noticing that could be done better is and OS handle in drivers seat.
Also, I always use a flash drive for all my music, but the sound system is sadly not
able to sort by folder. So all my music is just a big mess of scrambled music.
A lot of my music isnt coded with names, albums and such.

getting used to a truck tranny is another thing....I step on the gas and it seems like the
tranny hangs at the top a lot longer than I have ever experienced...people tell me
this is normal....I find it hard to get used to......also, I'm not used to a truck that
digs really high rpms that much LOL

anyways, I'm exstatic to have a vehicle thats safe and I can trust. I drive 3 hours a day
to work, and its a real pleasure to own this Tundra...I know, for fuel economy it might
not be the best choice, but for reliability, driving comfort and excitement, and resale value I am very happy. Always was a Ford or GMC guy.....not anymore....I am converted!!!

Anyways, thanks for the forum, sry about the long message, if you made it this fasr, thank you!

Oh a PS: I seriously have driven a stick shift for 17 years, and I have unsuccessfully tried to find
someone on say Youtube that drives a Tundra, that gives some feedback on how to best
handle the shifting, rpm levels, tricks for smooth ride, tranny techniques if you will.....I'm slowly
getting used to it, but I'm ok with asking for any feedback.....I f.ex try to step on the gas, then pull the gas
pedal back to enduce a gear shift, then step again...on my wifes Nissan Rouge it works perfectly, but
this is obviously different. I'm from denmark and came here in 2000, and everyone drives stickshift
back there....keep trucking.....Love this Country with all my heart.....in Denmark, this vehicle would
litterally be to big and too expensive in gas as the gas prices are waaaayyyy higher....but I would love
to drive up to my moms house in this puppy LOL

Cool, so I can do that even if I'm not towing anything? These new trucks has so much technology, I'm still learning.

I saw a guy do a test drive on tube, did a 0 - 60 test, and he did switch on something that I couldn't identify.... probably the haul ass mode he he he
