I have a flapping kind of noise coming from under the hood area. Which only happens when the weather is Cold. If you did how did you fix it.

    Flapping? Or whistling?

Not sure of the flapping noise, but the whistling noise (also happens in cold weather), is due to some mesh filter in the air intake. Some guys have replaced it with a non-meshed part from Toyota.

    Thanks for the info!
I always wondered about a little bit of whistling noise when I am accelerating! I really like that noise ... lol
have to make a note not to ever get the non-meshed filter!!!

I should clarify. It’s not a filter like a engine air filter or cabin air filter that gets worn out and needs to get replaced. It’s just something that the truck has. Guys will switch it out simply to get rid of the whistling noise. I can’t stand it. But I’m also not motivated enough to replace it yet. Haha.
