Whike flipping channels at the hotel, I caught the end of a show regarding a moth in someone’s ear.

What do you do if it happens to you?
Tilt the affected ear upward and apply warm oil to drown it out.

Many years ago I was dating my wife picking her up at her dads standing on front porch a moth flying by the porch light flew right into my ear. It wouldn't come out everything we did made it flap and scratch at my ear drum. our date ended up being the hospital they drown it in saline then extracted with little grabber thing. No permanent damage to ear drum just sore for few days, not fun

I'm not very squeamish, but sometimes watching Tosh.0 when they show stuff like that, i start getting that gonna-hurl-feeling.

I had this happen the summer before last. I’m not sure what type of bug it was, kinda halfway between a stink bug and a small moth.

I was sitting at a park bench, enjoying sandwiches with my family before a hike, and the darn thing flew in there full speed, and scratched at anything and everything in there. Absolutely awefull. Went to the local clinic in a big hurry, they were closed since it was a Sunday. Got on the highway headed for the nearest hospital 1/2 hour away (traffic was crawling, emotions were a bit high...) a couple minutes up the road I spotted something crawling up my glasses arm, sure enough, it had come out on it’s own. Still felt like it was in there except that the scratching had stopped, and that feeling lasted a couple days.

I never want to repeat that experience.

happens quite often.. I had a roach and a beetle in my ear when i was younger. The worst part is you can hear it moving.

Pour water or alcohol and they will come out.
