Can I get comments on the stock 18 vs stock 20. Ride quality, road feel, towing large trailers, steering response, pot hole harshness, etc. I know they use different tire brands but I'm looking for the difference in sidewall height and how that affects the smooth ride I am use to on the 18". Currently have a 2015 Crewmax TRD 4x4. Thanks,

    That's easy,

Same size tires the 18s are going to ride a lot softer and smoother.

The more side wall you have the more the tire will absorb Road harshness, Road imperfections and smooth out the ride quality.

And if you off road at all that's just one more reason to go with a smaller diameter wheel and have more Tire. I'm running 17s because I love having more Tire it's as easy and simple as that.

Yup. I noticed a difference when i went from a SR5 with 18's to a Limited with 20's. 18's ride better with bumps and such. 20's just look cooler.

yup... and the other side of that coin is that a tire with a shorter sidewall (20" wheels) will have better on-road handling (less roll and lean) and the truck will be more responsive.

I have 20" and they ride plenty smooth for me.

For me it is easy, I think 20s are ugly, and 20s ride rougher than 18s. Why would I get anything other than 18s or less. I will probably be going down to 16s...

can you go down to 16" wheels on the tundra? I thought 17" were the smallest that would fit.

I think I saw someone with 16s once, he had to have them "custom-fitted". I believ you are correct, in that 17s are the smallest that will fit stock.
