Hey guys, I’m about 10 days into owning my 2015 Double Cab SR5 and am loving it. Previous few trucks have been diesels and I’m glad to have made the switch back to gas, and even happier to have gone with a Toyota.

Already been scheming about mods/additions (getting great ideas from the forum here) but wanted to hear from y’all what some of your favorites or must have additions are for your Tundra!

Welcome from Illinois! My first addition to every new truck is a set of Weathertech floor mats. Saves the carpet and contains the messes, which you'll likely have in Alaska. You may want to invest in a good set of tires for the weather you'll soon see. I'm sure others will chime in with plenty of ideas for you.

@aramirez73 I’m loving the color - as it will go good with tint/rhino lining bumpers/black rims etc but not get as dirty/show scratches as black paint does.

@Viper3G Oh yeah - had termination dust for about 2 1/2 weeks and got our first snow last weekend. That pic was on one of the last sunny days we had before the white stuff hit haha

I did a mid travel set up. 2.5" coil overs and new uca's. Icon expansion pack (leafs) and new 2.5" rear shocks. It's not a kit per se, just parts. There are a lot of companies making great stuff for our trucks. I used ADS in front (which lifted it about 3.5") and Fox in the rear (which are good for 1" of lift and may need to be replaced with something longer). For UCA's I chose Icon with the delta joint. The Delta joint is fairly new and low maintenance with better range of motion than a ball joint.
    Good luck with your mods.

I'm partial to A.R.E., but that's because I've been a dealer for 21 years lol. I was also a Leer dealer. IMO both are great caps, each with different offerings. It just depends on what suits your needs. Depending on where you're at in AK, availability might be the deciding factor.
