I keep having an audio issue with Android Auto in my Tundra. When playing music from my Samsung Galaxy S23, there are hiccups or slight pauses when streaming. It happens with various apps (Spotify, Amazon Music, etc).

I don't have the issue in my Wife's Mazda or when going through other Bluetooth earbuds or other speakers. I have tried changing numerous settings, all updates are the latest, and no luck. It is very frustrating.

Has anyone on this forum had this issue and have you been able to correct it?

    Thanks!

I have the exact same problem and it is driving me crazy. I have tried so many things to rectify this issue. Nothing has worked. I too have an S23 which is weird. Maybe that is the common denominator. Please keep this post going. I want a remedy. I like the sound system, I just can't believe I paid all this money and the music skips every minute almost exactly. Whether through the cable or wireless. It happens using YouTube music or Spotify may happen with all music playback from phone. It seemed to be fine with no AA, just BT. Tried deleting cache on Spotify and AA. Pulling my hair out at this point.

    Too many, but not enough....
I had a similar issue. What solved it for me was setting my youtube music apps battery setting to unrestricted use. Do this to android auto app itself and your music app to be sure.

AA is never without issues. Don't know about CarPlay but I am grateful when I can get a solid week gone by without blips, misconnections, etc.

Yes, I have changed the battery app setting to unrestricted. Didn't make any difference for me. I timed the skips, 1 minute apart exactly. Really annoying? Usually at the part of the song where you join the singing.....lol

Id have to dig up the article, but Google is aware of the issue. Apparently the issue stems from Google Maps and Waze from the last update. No ETA for fix.

But yeah, it's super annoying. Ive found myself listening to the radio because of it.

I have an S25, same issue on my 25 Tundra. Intermittent, skips, very quick but happens all the time.

Great to know. Maybe I'll try deleting Waze and see if that works. I thought I heard Apple car play users having the same issue. Thanks for the info.

I tried deleting waze. It worked for one power cycle then started again.

Allegedly its an issue with both Google Maps and Waze. So far the only guaranteed solution is disabling both Waze and Google Maps.
