No Baja trip plans. If we do a Baja trip it would likely be truck campers, so no Tundras.

Installed the OEM power tailgate lock kit I picked up from @Jchetty today. I could have taken the easy route and just mounted the actuator and tapped into the wiring I had previously run from the KTJO kit, but I don’t like to half ass anything so I removed the KTJO kit entirely and then rerouted the OEM harness to complete the install. Pretty simple job with the biggest hassle being that I had to lower the spare tire to cut some of the old zip ties that I couldn’t otherwise access. The OEM kit is much quieter that the KTJO kit. My KTJO actuator broke after only a few months of use. I think the way it was mounted put too much stress on the end of the actuator and caused it to snap. Much happier with this kit and it also includes built in fuses where power gets tapped behind the kick panel.

Awesome install. That OEM kit is worth it weight in gold. Should outlast the truck.
