That little coin bank in the center console lid was getting on my nerves when every time I opened to the large compartment underneath, a pile of coin would fall inside the lid compartment. I fixed it with a little double sticky Velcro tape.

    IMG_2188.jpg

moved it the the back of the compartment, problem solved.

Am I old fashioned? I still use the ash tray to collect/store my coinage.

I use pill bottles in the driver's door pocket for change. Quarters, nickels, dimes PLUS the neato coin holder OP was having trouble with. Mine works fine and is loaded with change.

We are almost always pulling a trailer with the Tundra, it seldom goes out by itself, so the coins don't get spent.

Just curious, what does towing a trailer have to do with the spending of coins?

Do newer cars come with these little coin holders anymore? Everything has become so digital, that even our parking meters have a pay by app option.

EDIT: I'm getting so tired of auto correct

    Love it.
I had a 96 regular cab Tacoma with bucket seats and in the center console it had one of these.
It has been in every vehicle I have owned since.

Fast forward I purchased a 2005 tundra and it had one.

Double fast forward, now I have two OEM Toyota coin holders my current vehicle.

Ever try to go through the drive through pulling a trailer that's wider than your truck? Every drive through, at least where I live, requires driving around the building.

And before anyone asks.......yes some people still use cash for almost everything.

Downtown went to digital meters, to prevent the crackheads from breaking into them for the coins, or so I was told by a guy that tends to know just about everything that happens but never makes it into the news.

Which prevents me from ever parking at a meter again....flip phones don't do the digital thing.

That's fantastic. If that was not in the context of this thread, there's no way I would have gotten what that is. Bravo!

The only reason I know is because that movie line is randomly quoted in a rather brash but very informative forum I lurk on daily.

I did see the movie on VHS when the local video rental store got it in stock.
