I am due for breaks soon and am thinking about upgrading my rotors and brakes for my 2019 Tundra Limited. I want something better for towing my travel trailer. Any thoughts or experiences?

I have over 60k miles on my Stoptech slotted rotors. Still smooth as silk.

I have had good luck with NAPA Adaptive One slotted rotors and pads. I got my truck used with 42k on it with these brakes and now have 75k on the same rotors. I did just change out the front pads. I do a lot of towing. Half of my trucks miles are towing a 7k+ travel trailer.

Focus on the pads. That's where your money is best spent.

For rotors go smooth/blank or slots. Slots have some benefits, but have increased cost so depending on your budget, blank rotors and better pads might be wiser choice. Avoid cross drilled like the plague.

I’ve been running stoptech cryo slotted rotors and hawk LTS pads for the last 5,000ish miles. Tow a 4500lb trailer about twice a week. Very happy with the performance. The pads are dusty but I’ve come to expect that with performance oriented pads. I also run all braided stainless brake lines and flush the entire brake system yearly with a motiv pressure bleeder. Over the years I’ve also seen the difference that proper pad to rotor bedding can make on overall performance and life span. The above combo performs better than the Alcon big brake kit (front only) I had on my 3rd gen taco prior to this.

I did Hawk Talon Super Duty rotors in front with Hawk LTS pads all around this Spring.

Performance has been good once I got some mileage on them. Early on they seemed like initial cold grab was a little weak even though I bedded them in.

No idea what my prior brakes were though since i got truck used.

Do aftermarket rotors and pads last as long as OEM and are they as quiet?
