The drop kit came in which includes shock mount parts but no bolt on solution or even a diagram or a picture of how to use the supplied parts, do have a mig and tig welder so I can do some fabrication and that would be necessary to use this kit. None of this is noted or explained in the ad.

    Stephen

I spoke with Chris from Ruff Stuff and he said:

"Hi, apologies for the confusion. We do not have our own installation video

The R2121 kit requires welding for the perches & shock mounts.

    Quick install outline

    1. Set ride height & pinion angle.
    2. Mock shocks ~10–20° from vertical; target ~60/40 up/down travel.
    3. Tack tabs on clean tube; verify clearance/bolt width.
    4. Cycle to full bump/droop; adjust; final weld and paint.
Note * (Removing stock shock brackets & leaf perches may be necessary.)

If there is anything further we can do to help please let us know.

    Thank you,

    RuffStuff Team"

Yeah these center cap decals are cheap alright looks like they're made on my home printer! the metal "look alike" under the red TRD is a photo of metal! there is no metal in this decal but unless you are staring at them 6" away they look OK even being bluish steel instead of brushed aluminum but for $10 they get the job done! If they don't last at least they are cheap to replace.

Good thing you're ready to weld and fab. Should be an adventure to say the least. Definitely over my head.
I look forward to keeping up with your build.

Yeah I have the skills and most of the tools having once owned a body shop but nowadays I don't have a shop, garage or even a flat driveway to work in! I have a 20 foot steep ramp from the frontage road to my garage! working on hills isn't recommended for suspension mods, that's for sure! but excuses are easy, results like a battle plan have to overcome obstacles to succeed! I have time, some skills and some money to get done what I want done, if I paid someone else to do it what fun would that be? besides in the end I'm paying the same if I hired someone to install an off the shelf solution but being retired I need some stuff to do anyways, projects, you could say I love projects

    Bmf4069,

yeah I bought a wrecked 91' NSX and couldn’t repair the frame so I bought a stripped 95 NSX-T chassis and put 2 cars into one. The donor chassis was a 95 NSX-T and was quite a challenge to put the 91 engine in and make it work with a throttle by wire 95 ODBII car's system. Engine swap, change engine harness, replaced 91' ECU, repaired electric steering rack (missing speed sensor 91 did not come with one) repaired SRS system (had to find and install 95 seat belts with automatic collision tensioners) Replace defective capacitors in HVAC controls, radio, upgrade/repair suspension, reupholster seats, change car color from black to red in door jambs, under hood and engine compartment, a few hundred other repairs and changes, etc. Definitely my most ambitious project ever!

have been distracted from the truck, another project has a delivery date of first week in October. Had to finish the “ground work” of installing 16 piers of 16 to 19 inch in height to drop the cabin on, the top of the piers are all level. Some are 2 foot deep others are sitting on the old pool deck anyways 16 support piers are ready to drop the cabin on and secure it to the ground (earthquakes here in Cali)

    KNABORES,

I'm not building a cabin I bought one from Tecate Sheds in Fallbrook, $10K out the door, want a one week building solution that my neighbors see and not the 2+ years it would take me to do it. Because of the cabin size 12' x 16' they cannot truck it in and are building it onsite, the foundation is not supplied and is up to me to design and implement. Played around with several setups, and we finally agreed on a layout. The design has some piers buried deep over 2 foot and some just sitting on top of the ground, some of the pier's construction has changed as I started building them. My house has a dirt filled in pool and with that problem had to figure how to safely build the foundation on it. The piers are mostly on top of the old pool deck with a 1/2 rebar stuck in a drilled hole and using a gap at the bottom of the sono-tubes a crude "foot" is made when pouring concrete. I'm doing overkill I'm sure if a regular contractor or an architect saw what I did. It's a cabin instead of a shed because side walls are 7'9" high instead of 6'. Have a laser level but it isn't needed a 2 foot carpenters level and a straight board is all that I used to get the job done. The Tecate Shed guy said it doesn't need to be perfect because cabin is being built on site and they will make the necessary adjustments. This project is all to get my own bedroom and bathroom in my house! With a Mom and Daughter living here, rarely get access to our one bathroom, the plan is to elevate the cabin to run utilities under the floor, power, water, sewer, etc. Having fun spending my grandchildren's inheritance!

    KNABORES,

With COVID towns here have relaxed zoning and building codes, every MM of space is too expensive here and over taxed as well, wish I could build a garage but this postage stamp size lot is already a duplex and too small for that, making the most of what I have...
