First off, the replacement oil filter assembly solved the problem right off the bat. Oil pressure high, so no more clicking which I presume is valve related and no more engine codes being thrown. To all those out there who own a tundra, be sure you ask for the filter back, because I fear commercial outfits just don't change them because frankly it's a pain.

Contacted the shop that did the oil change and they had a full record including swapping out the stock filter housing with the aluminum knockoff. I'm attempting to reach out to corporate and see if I can get a refund for at least $140 in parts. Frankly, fat chance but I'll post what happens.
