More times than not, cats will tell you to go stuff yourself. Part of their appeal ;). How about Vader?

Shit, I snapped a stud off my wifes old Saturn years back when trying to swap out a flat tire. Firestone had completed a rotate a week before and cross threaded it really bad. For what it's worth when I called them about it they honored their work and replaced the stud and towed the vehicle from the house to their location with very little argument.

When I removed the original 16" rims on mine, I had to use a sledgehammer to knock them off. They were fused to the hub. My truck came from Illinois.

Mine had been sitting since 2019 and probably barely driven since 2016 except to get the frame replaced in 2019. It was not fun. I had already decided on not keeping the rims so the sledge just took care of it.

Oh, i remember now, i was tapping the spokes while i had a 4x4 and bottle jack wedged across the wheels. Dude that owned the truck used it at the boat ramp, and discount tire couldnt get the rear wheels off.

Always been a dog guy, but started befriending a stray cat that kept coming up my driveway and watching me work in the garage or on my truck. That was 8 months ago. I give her food and water, she kills rats in the backyard and greets me every morning on my way out to work and when I get home from work. Shes really grown on me. I named her Phoenix.

Also, had to put my pup down a couple months ago, Oscar was 17 years old! Best dog and buddy ill probably ever have. But Phoenix has been a nice little replacement, haha.

Heres the last pic of Oscar

Yea I didnt know what a Tortie was until this cat came along. Apparently kinda rare and usually always female?

Yes, and the rarer males are almost always sterile so they can't be bred, they just kinda happen at random. They often have a trait called "Tortitude" but my little (only 5 lbs) girl is the sweetest most loving cat I have ever had and in 84 years I've had a lot of them. She follows me everywhere and is always on my lap. Torties are special.

Sorry to hear about Oscar. But I'm glad you found a new friend. I'm a firm believer in rescuing strays over buying. But that's just like my opinion, man. :D

Couldnt agree more! Oscar was from the shelter and Phoenix was from the neighborhood, lol.

And thanks for that, sorry you guys couldnt meet Oscar at T2S earlier this year. He was there, but we were only there one night. Im so glad I got one last good 2 week camping trip with him before he had to go.

Animals are awesome. They have a way of making a home feel like "home". It's never lonely with a friend in the house.

Sorry about Oscar, my dog Blue heeler-Aussie mix died after 15 good years. You don't realize how much they add to your life until they're gone. I see Phoenix likes "catnip".

After only 325K miles, the drivers door hinge on my 2006 RCLB is sloppy enough that it requires more of of slam to latch it. It's mostly the bottom hinge.
    Should I...
    Shim the bottom hinge.
    Replace the bottom hinge.
Get one of those hinge pin kits.
or lower the latch striker on the door jamb?
I'm leaning towards shimming the lower hinge.

@Dook55 Yes Phoenix likes her "catnip". Although I bought actual catnip for the first time recently and its crazy how much they love it! Loving all these Torties you guys have too.

@bfunke Is Tippy missing some whiskers?

Do you guys pack your tie rod bellows with grease?
I need to change my driver side this week. Gotta buy a paint pen first, to mark the tie rods positioning, so I don't mess up my toe.

The inner tie rod should already come greased. The bellow is just a dust cover

If joints dont have a zerk fitting, they’re packed and will be worn out by the time they need grease.

oh, bellows? No! In fact you want to make sure your bellows arent full of atf or fabric softener every oil change.

nope mine is as rust free as it gets I guess whoever in backwoods Alabama that put the tires on must have put them on at 500 lb ft because the first time discount took them off 3 studs broke on different wheels

on another note my door latch plastic broke and my door won’t shut all the way half the time
