I started driving at the age of 13 with my dad's 1977 Chevy C-10. Mastering a three on the tree made everything else seem like child's play when I officially went for my legal driving test.

 

I’m no expert but your sleep looks like shit! You aren’t kidding.

I was traveling for most of last week, and I felt like I slept like shit. In comparison, I slept like a dream.


I’m curious what your blood O2 looks like as that will dip during periods of breathing cessation.

I sincerely hope you can get it resolved.

I didn’t know how important good sleep was until I started having it. Folks are always looking for a wonder drug to help them mentally, physically, emotionally - a good night’s sleep is a great start. My only regret is not having started using a CPAP sooner!

What does all this mean? It kinda looks like those fancy graphs marketing agencies send you to make it look like they're doing something for your biz when all they are really doing is eating up money.

 

I’m going to wager that your low data points are during sleep. From what both my regular physician and my best friend (who’s an ER doc) have told me, O2 around 90 is unhealthy and below 85 is dangerous.

By no means am I trying to be a scaremonger, but after seeing the benefits of good sleep, I’m a huge advocate of everyone having it!

I think @nobodyintexas said something about blood pressure too, which he’s spot on. Good regular sleep will certainly lower it. My doc had said the same thing and then I experienced it for myself.

Truth brother. We did terrible things in my youth I laugh at now that I'm old, but don't regret a single minute of it. Life is too short to have regrets, do shit that stretches the boundaries and be happy to have lived in that time, that's my view on life.

lower blood pressure
clearer mind
higher T-levels.
sharper focus
better training results
calmer demeanor
more daily energy
aligned circadian rhythms


all of these items make for a better life.

so....if you snore, go get a Cpap.

Earliest driving stories: great memories.
My brother-in-law has been the most influential person on my early automotive leanings.
He let me drive his prized '67 Firebird (326 HO and a 4-speed) when I was 12. This was around Wisconsin farm country out in the boonies.
He also let me rip around on his Honda Trail 90.
First exposures to stick shift cars and motorcycles.

I bought my own motorcycle as soon as I could and my first car (and many following) was a stick.

 

if so, then we need to:

ordain someone to tell him to "quityurbitchin'".
shop for a nice coffin
get him some fancy-schmancy vampire tuxedo duds



and maybe

just maybe

if he sleeps as a bat by hanging upside down, this will assuage all apnea conditions.

 

No regrets here either, but looking back, I AM amazed that I lived through some of the sketchier bits.
