Reverse lighting

Bailey @Baja Designs What's my best option for a reverse light? My windows are super dark and it's difficult to tell much from my reverse camera due to snow/mud/road grime.

@Caliraisedled I could use your pov as well.

Can someone please pitch me and include pics and lumen/spread/distance options? I would rather not cut big holes in my bumper but will for aesthetics if it's going to eliminate ridiculous looking hanging lights.

My truck: RTT, bedrack, and current setup will stay as is year round (more than likely)

I used the Sylvania Zevo and it really helps.

I second this... my Sylvania bulbs are kickass.. reverse, license plate, tails, 3rd brake light... theyre super bright

 

I've been going to put them in the taillights for running,stop,and turns but haven't yet . I have the reverse,and license plate lights already now putting them inside. Which ones are you running for stop, turn,and running light Zevo or the other ones they make.

I would mount some Squadron Pros onto your bedrack. Kinda like @dcsleeper408

 

You can get a smaller light like the s2/s2 pro series. more low profile with tons of light..

 

Dang you people....never thought of mounting on top like that. Now I kinda want those on top of my rack on my cap pointing back

 

or...... Get some squadron Pros and use them as your ditch lights and throw the Rigids on the back.

 

I put two rough country black series led's mounted under the rear bumper. I think they are 8400 lumens, they are insanely bright. It was like $200 installed. I had them install a plasmaglow switch so I can turn them on and off at will and not tied to only on when in reverse.

 

Im running Zevo.. on my '15 I just had the regular Sylvania bulbs, but I have Zevo on my '17.. not a huge difference between the two in my opinion, both are super bright

 

Those look good but Alma would rip those off wheeling.

 

Good idea but I have some squadrons and the rigids already have a home. I'm ditching the ditch lights and want a smaller lamp (if possible)

I just got a set of Squadrons from you and could potentially be doing so, but I'm thinking S2s might be more of what I'm thinking. Any pros/cons? Are the S2s even close in output?

 

seen some in person as reverse lights.. Really Bright! Covered great ground. You'll be happy with em!

 

The only con of the S2 Series Lights is the reduced output compared to the Squadron Pro or Sport. Here are some differences in Wattage/Lumens between the S2 and Squadron Series:

S2 Sport - 12W/1130 Lumens
S2 Pro - 20W/2450 Lumens

Squadron Sport - 20W/1800 Lumens
Squadron Pro - 40W/4900 Lumens

The S2 Sport or S2 Pro are great lights! Since you have dark tinted windows I'd recommend the Pro over the Sport.
