    Tastefully enhanced...
I definitely lost some of everything in the valley but I used fuel hose with a magnet glued in and was able to retrieve...the valley is a true abyss!

What about due to weather? Would seem like the larger temperature delta in the winter would cause more condensation in the engine. At this point I don't even check my catch can because there's such a trivial amount in it. On the two built engines I have, during break in and the first 100 miles or so they would fill the catch can almost to the brim with a couple dozen miles, but once sealed up they catch as much as the Tundra does.

Speaking of the catch can, what is the best routing?

Heard back from Whipple. I'll have the missing pieces/decals tomorrow or the next

They asked for the label on the bag of the missing parts in a separate email. Wonder if someone's getting chewed

Did mine earlier this year and dropped the old one as soon as I unthreaded it. Turned a 10 minute job into an hour. Only thing that got it out was a small rubber hose hooked up to a vacuum.

Apparently it is possible to get real parts from Amazon. I gambled as it's not a big deal if it had to go back.

Hoping this is the end of my evap codes.

We were missing the injectors and a few other things as well as the heat exchanger was damaged within the box but the box itself had no damage.

So I'm thinking of taking some time off next week and doing the install. I had my dad lined up to give me a hand, but its looking like he might get tied up until later in the week.

This doable as a solo mission? I don't have a lift or a cherry picker, but have 2 floor jacks for the tank

Definitely. Lifting the blower into the engine bay is a bitch but maybe you're more jacked than me. Can definitely do it yourself, I would expect 16-20 hours. If you have three full days to focus on it you should be golden if you're just doing the blower and pump.

Definitely diable by yourself as stated. My friend had to bail who was going to help with my trans install. My 74 year young mom was gracious enough to hold the crank pulley while I torqued the torque converter to flywheel. I was going to take a pic but that was a "NO"!

I wimped out and had the dealer install mine (mostly due to some time constraints, but I really did wimp out). They also charge what I thought was a very reasonable price; about $1000 cheaper than the local Magnusson recommended installer.

But now that I’ve had to pull it and take the motor down to the timing chain tensioner, I see everything that needed to be done to install the blower originally except for the fuel pump. And I will have to reinstall it all. I would agree with @snivilous and @reywcms and say it’s doable solo if you have some good basic wrenching ability. Take your time and follow the instructions and you should be fine. It would be nice to have an extra set of hands for placing the blower but I was able to heft it off by myself and will most likely be hefting it back on by myself as well.

Easily possible. The blower is heavy though. I put a piece of wood across the motor and lifted the blower up and onto it. Then I rigged up a pulley from the ceiling of my shop and made a sling for the blower and used it to pick up the blower. Then swung it back over the motor and with my wife's help was able to get it lined up and set on the motor. Easy.

Thanks everyone for the advice. My wife is gone for work tues-friday, so i'm batching it....seems like the perfect time. Plus here the weather is going to be perfect (low/mid 80's).

I'm kinda thinking about starting by myself and when i get to the blower install part, i'll try to grab a second set of hands from a neighbor or try to get my dad to swing by for an hour or 2 to help set the blower. I thought about buying a cherry picker, but probably not worth it for one time use.

Lifting the blower gonna be the worst part? I think i'm a little more worried about dropping the tank that just being able to heave the blower up.
@snivilous I'm not jacked....more like a grizzly bear....there's a good amount of muscle under the fluff and fur. lol

My truck wont fit in the garage and be able to close the door, so i'm thinking that i'll probably be doing it in the driveway. I've seen people do this before (with a lift) where they remove the front tires, and lower it down onto jack stands to bring the front of the truck lower. I'd have to leave it like that until i'm done with the install. My driveway has a bit of a slope to it, but nothing crazy. Think its worth doing that, or i'd be fine with doing the install at normal

I've got a lot of tools i've accumulated over the last 20 years, so i've got pretty much everythign i can think of covered (general diy, not really mechanics specific tools). Any specialty tools that i should be ordering?

Slim sockets & U joints both in 1/4" for tight spaces bolting the SC on were instrumental for me.
