Finally back to a nice couple of days after a month or October. But back to October. Hoodie will be out next week.

My father still gets the local newspaper and both my kids read it when we visit them. It’s a novelty to them but I smile since that’s what I used to do daily when I was a kid.

 

We get the daily paper at work, multiple copies in the lunchroom.
It's only the Boomers and us X'ers reading it, all the yute generations are all staring at their phones.

I still enjoy it.

 

There is something special about a newspaper. Haven't had one in over a decade, but I remember going through them when I was job hunting as a younger me.

 

We used to get just the Sunday paper delivered at home up until maybe 5 years ago.
Basically just for the sale ads and the color comics section.
Too much of a waste and the price kept going up. Decided I'll just read the free one at work during the week.

 

It’s not the waking up in the middle of the night, it’s the alarm when I am deep asleep that’s completely sole crushing.

 

I honestly miss reading a physical paper. Getting annoyed at the news while reading on a phone or computer screen isn't the same.
