Nah, I'm in no hurry. No legal requirement for the third brake light to work in Texas.
I just emailed RealTruck. I guess they bought ARE.

Price. Well that, and the wonder of whether it's just as effective. Because it just may be genius.

I was browsing for a longer LSVP (aka BPV) bracket when I stumbled on this product. My current BPV is a short 3 holer. From Wheelers Offroad. The one I was going to buy from Wheelers Offroad is a 4 holer. So meant for a larger lift.

Hey I’m upgrading to the big brake gx460 calipers. For those of you that have done the upgrade what brake lines did you go with?

I've got the wheelers Offroad brake lines on my 06.with the 14WA brakes and stock brake lines on my 03 (for now) with 14WA

I have a Jegs proportioning valve from Front Range Offroad. Don't think they make the kit anymore. Mine is placed at the master cylinder rather than under the truck.

It eliminates your LSPV and allows you to fine tune the rear brake bias. The brake bias will no longer be set by how much weight is in the bed.

What he said. Me and @JakeJake used mine to increase the pressure at the rear after the sequoia axle swap. I drove in the dirt with Jake watching and slammed on the brakes and adjusted it till they both locked up at the same time. Very finely tuned. Much science.

I’m pretty sure that arb bumper fits ALL 1st gen tundras.
    https://downeastoffroad.com/arb-99-...XCLp47J7cvpF62kBpy5KC1wdHpo4rK7BoCWS4QAvD_BwE

I saw the ad for the bumper for sale. It is a great deal for it and i’m sure it will sell quickly. Yes it has an underbite look to it. At $1000 it’s hard to say no to a bolt on winch bumper that’s powdercoated and ready to be bolted up. I suppose if you absolutely hate the look, you can resell it at some point.

50% worn down BFG AT 265/75-16 slightly rub my frame at steering lock. That size tire will also sap a heck of a lot of HP from your engine.

I think it's a finer distinction than that. I looked it up online since my camper shell light was non-functional when I bought it and I was due for an inspection; technically if your shell has the third/high-mounted stop light, it must work. If your shell doesn't have one, it's not required to have one. So it has to work if you have it, but you don't have to have it.

Edit: found you a link so you can see I didn't just pull this out of my exhaust pipe!

Also, has anyone tried those windshield washer fluid tablets yet? Supposedly they let you use tap water, you drop a tablet in and after 20 minutes you're in bidness. They are way cheaper than the fluid on the Amazone.

It’ll break free just so you know. Just need to spray it for a week with rust penetrant. They’re not high torque fittings.

Anyone know if it’s worth returning the 3/8” impact extensions for wobble (universal) impact sockets and getting locking ones instead for double the price?

@assassin10000 maybe you know since you’ve worked with them in the past? Not sure of the likelihood of them coming apart in use.

Impact. I’ve read they can come apart if reaching down into the engine bay with them. Not good if they come apart in use so I’ve read.

Yea, i wouldnt trust chrome wobble extensions. But i dont use impact guns, so i’d be fine unless i need to work on a yankee truck.

I may get a chrome extension for working on spark plugs. I’ve always had to tape them on to insure the extension wouldn’t come apart from the spark plug socket.

Chrome 6" and 10" locking 3/8" drive extensions come in pretty handy when replacing plugs on OHC engines.

The regular impact extensions are usually fine but you have to keep forward pressure on them. I prefer locking ones. I have the 3 piece proto set. Best deal I saw was from zoro.com when they have a 20% coupon on occasion (sign up for promo email/account).

    https://www.zoro.com/proto-38-drive...ck-oxide-3-in-6-in-12-in-l-j7277l/i/G1248852/

For the wobble sockets of hex ball design, first they become kinda worn they start binding up under heavy loads until one day the ball pops free and spring goes flying. Not the end of the world. It takes some abuse before that happens. I've only had it happen to my most used mid-length 19mm wobble socket after a year or so.
