Well, not much more I could have done with the situation with my sunroof. Took it into the dealer as I felt it would just be a spiral project for my skill level. Originally quoted me $3169 and they could order parts that day and have it done the next. I told them to go ahead and condemned my fate.
Dealer called less than 24hrs later and says it’s all done. They found a “coupon” that brought it down to $2969. During the time the sunroof broke, me finding the TSB, and figuring out what I wanted to do, I found the parts ranging from $1200-$1700. So I called the dealer back and just simply asked if they would be willing g to price match some online dealers. The SA said she would check. I didn’t hear back until I got to the dealer where she told me they were able to price match. It brought it down and other $300, for a total of $2639. Still a lot, but I got a little lucky, treated the advisors like people and just simply asked. What was the worse they would say, no?

Nice! Ya the V8 had me worried. Wife actually preferred the diesel over the V8 so I wasn’t going to argue that. The Yukon is such a nice vehicle. I will be a Toyota fan for life, but that air ride is amazing.

CVJ Axles for lifted Tundras. I didn't have the boot installed correctly on both sides and it failed within a year for both. Sadly, their website is clear about lifted and off-road use, so they are being solid and giving me a discount on the new ones, and a discount on the rebuilds of the current ones I just removed.

And while it isn't a 10mm socket, I did find something in the frame rail...

Also did the 710 change, topped off the front diff, and bobs yer uncle.

I am of the opinion that nothing touches AHC in an LX. Might not tow as nice due to the shorter wheelbase, but it sure does amazing things and even auto-levels the vehicle when you’re hooked up.

Did you try a 5.7 Sequoia platinum with the air ride? How does the Yukon compare?

Air ride to me means guaranteed $$$ maintenance at some point in the future.

I am also firmly of the mind that people overlook the greatest, most underrated, bulletproof family hauler out there (the 2nd gen Sequoia) mostly for the sole reason the interior looks outdated.

Yes we looked at a sequoia platinum too and the Yukon ride is much better. I know it’s going to cost a lot to have to replace when they will eventually go out. I’m already looking at options of deleting the air ride with coils and shocks down the road. But it’s nice having the option to raise it roughly 3” in 4LO.

When things start falling apart on this thing I’ll make sure to remind my wife that she should have gone with an LX or Sequoia for the reliability alone haha.

I’m pretty sure it is. From the threads I was reading this seems like the part number mostly everyone is going with for the 2.5 gen. Definitely a noticeable difference not only in airflow, but also the weight of the motor in comparison to the stock one. Moves more air at lower fan settings and it’s like a damn wind tunnel at full blast. Definitely quieter too, but mine stock one was starting to get a little whine to it

New set of matte black emblems and OEM color matched door handles showed up today. Next project will be de-badging and paint correction process. I figured with the badges and door handles off would be a good time to give her a good round of compound and polish with the D/A since there’s quite an few scratches and then a full detail. Slowly getting rid of all the chrome. Still on the fence if I’ll put the black emblems back on or just leave it de-badged if I like how it looks.

Are those handles paint matched from the start? or did you have to get them painted?
