I have a 2wd 2011 tundra, when i take highway onramp right hand turn (so truck is leaning on left front wheel) and apply light braking, i get a nasty grinding sound and trac control seems to be activating creating a buzzing.

If i take the turn without applying brakes, i get no grinding/buzzing. Its only when i apply a little braking into the turn that it happens.

i thought it might be a bad abs/wheel sensor so changed driver side out, but still does it. Think it could be wheel bearing or trac control module? Wheel doesnt have any play in it or seem to make any grinding noise when free spinning

Sounds like possible brake or caliper issue right off the top of my head. I’m not a pro though.

Brakes in front are new, just popped off driver side and looked at everything yesterday. Pads are good, rotor looks fine, caliper bolts are tight.

it doesnt sound like a pad scraping, it sounds more like metal on metal like lower frequency grinding.

i originally thought wheel bearing because with that lateral pressure it could be tilting the hub causing something to contact but like i said if i go into the turn without any braking i dont hear anything. Granted it could still be wheel bearing related just when brakes are applied

Jack it up and get it spinning by hand while somrone else applies gentle brake pressure to try and replicate it. Not too many moving parts on 2wd. Check all corners too, you might find the source is different from what appears to be the source.
