I was taking a shower and the shower being a good place and time to think.....began to run through all the plans I have for the Tundra.

    Seat covers

Heavy duty front bumper with grill / headlight protection and a winch

Rear bumper wiring to run a winch on my mowing trailers (in case I need to load one up after a break down)

Wheels re-powder coated / new wheels

    New rear-view mirror

    New outside door handles

    Paint job

What about you guys? What are your Tundra plans?

I wouldn't. I would have a separate "house battery" on the trailer with the winch and just charge it with a direct mount NOCO Genius 2. Less chance of anything happening to your truck's electrics that way.

It's at a quarter tank. Maybe put gas in it.

I've owned my 2002 since 2003 and I only have one true improvement remaining on my once long list... I need to install that big ass Hellwig front sway bar I bought a month or so ago. I am waiting on cooler weather, a set of new OEM end links and end link bushings from Energy Suspension to arrive before I tackle that job.

Really? Mess with the electronics? Ugh......

So what's the difference between a front-mounted winch and a back mounted one then?

Maybe I misunderstood. I thought I read it as you were going to power a winch mounted on a trailer from your truck, not that it would be a winch mounted on the rear of your truck.

Mine is a daily driver for homeowner use. Toyota didn't leave much needing improvement for my purposes. I envy a lot of you guys into activities in the woods and trails. I know it's lots of fun to customize for special purposes. Enjoy.
