Damn POS. It started for her after work. She got home, hour and a half later it won't start again. Once it starts shes bringing it down so I can swap the battery.

Pull the shifter part of the console out, and the gear selector part clips around the shifter with 4 clips, place whatever sticker you want on it and take a hobby knife to cut it out. Hope that makes sense.

Father in law tapped on solenoid and it started. We are going to the shop now to change the starter and battery.

Swapped out the starter and the battery on the kids 4Runner. Starting issues should be good now. I'll have the old starter tested when I return the core.

Hahaha, I was just thinking we had a Subaru that you needed to tap the starter with a 2x4 piece and it would start…20+ years ago.

    Lots.
Not 100% of the time, but usually when I put it up on the truck I plan to keep it up there for a while. We’ve been hitting the beaches and springs a lot this summer so I’ve been using it quite frequently washing sand and salt water off of grandkids, dogs and feet. I really like the convenience of the roof mount as it keeps it secure and out of the way.

    Not today but here anyway…

FN Five Star 17 inch wheel with P285/70R17 Nitto Terra Grappler G3…installed a few weeks ago.

IMG_0218.jpg Hayden 689 transmission cooler with a high quality @Jmunk custom bracket. My mechanic did all the plumbing on Monday. These were just the install pictures I took when I installed the bracket/cooler.

My temps with the NEW tire setup was 217. Stock tire setup was 207.

Post cooler, 190 at the pan.

    Thanks!

Truthfully I wasn’t comfortable with an average temp of 217. It just made sense to do the cooler once I committed to the tires…. The truck really does handle 33”s nicely.

Yes sir, grabbed a 6" patch cable from work which worked fine but if you could get your hands on one that was just a little longer it would give you some more slack.

Assuming you went with Dexron III tranny fluid as replacement? (Fell down a rabbit hole recently looking at a bunch of back forth discussions about that...)

Update: got truck back today. Tires were delayed which is why it took forever. Sucks. It’s always me lol. Either way dropping down from 37s to 35s is nuts. Tires look soooooo small, like laughably small. They ride a lot smoother C range than E range. Overall happy.

As far as the King 3.0s — driver side max height. Passenger side lowest height. I STILL have a driver side lean of 0.5 inches. Emailed kings again to figure it out. Just doesn’t make any sense to me (still gotta throw on my duro bumpstops whoops). No extra weight on drivers side neither. Beyond Stumped, it was 1.75 inches difference before and it was unbearable. Now it’s very livable. Truck is “done” now.

forgot to update this thread but in supercharger thread I took it to national speed first week of August to go from stage 1 to stage 3. Long story short we have 499.03 wheel horse power on the 37 inch tires on 93 pump gas when it was all said and done. Trucks fun to drive. On to next project. Saving for a new house (I need a garage. My townhome isn’t cutting it)

I actually used Valvoline Maxlife Power Steering Fluid since that’s all I could get my hands on locally. I plan to swap out for Valvoline Maxlife ATF soon though. That’s what I’ve always used in previous vehicles

What’s the recommendation for power steering? Maxlife ATF? Toyota branded PS fluid?

Just toss a coachbuilder shim on the driver side and be done; but if they did adjust the shocks give it a day or two to settle

have them but they don’t fit. Bolts on the top of coilover don’t have enough length to throw a shim in and then get a nut on the top. That was my first solution lol. Only thing left is buy a new top hat from kings without the bolts pressed in and do that myself with longer bolts. Pain in the butt.

So I am on the fence between 35s and 37s for this same reason. I hate the idea of load E tires. I am on 20's so 35s still look so small to me. BUT ride quality is really important. So despite the sidewall difference you feel the 35's ride better?
