I'm on day 3 of trying out Mint Mobile. So far quite pleased. Mid band 5G signal is great until I get to my river property 38 miles away, then 4G. It's about 3 miles from a good 5G. Even though T-Mobile deprioritizes Mint, I have had no issues with speed. Took advantage of Mint's ongoing promo. Unlimited, 10G hot spot. 12 MONTHS prepaid. $180! After 1 year it goes back to $360. Still cheap with a caveat.....you must pay up front for the best deal. Still cheap. Mint has no add on frills. Good. Was easy to unlock my Cricket S24 and use my same number. Mint does have a few quite decent phones.

 

that's damn good.

for comparison....we have 25 phones on our corp Verizon account....and pay ~$50/mth for each "line" all in.

We had been paying $111 per month for three lines with T-Mobile, for years.

I just looked and now it’s $145. My wife went to the T-Mobile store and bought a new phone. I have a bad feeling that our grandfathering in to the old “good deal” plan was unraveled and signed away to oblivion.

I hate these effing mobile phone companies. Now I have to look into this and figure out what the hell happened and why we are paying an extra $420 GD dollars per year on these damn phones that we own. Plus she has an android phone which is a stupid POS freaking phone. I had to block out listening to her complain for a week trying to figure out why things weren’t working and syncing up. I’m just calmly saying gosh I don’t know, sorry I wish I could help.

YEARS ago our AT&T did that...I was on a Gorgeous pre-historic plan from my days @ Arthur Andersen....I guess they got wind somehow & flipped me over to "new" pricing.

it was horrible...They and I could not stop it. I managed to get "better" pricing with haggle.

Yeah, I ended up replacing them about a year ago and still have them. My apologies for forgetting, but I ended up swapping them out quite a while after we talked about that and then forget to reach out to you.
