Hey all, since I've had some time recently, I have decided to put some work (and burn money) on my truck. One such item has been my passenger's side power window. It stopped working randomly a couple months ago. Decided to go investigate and replace it with an Aisin Motor + Regulator Assembly. To my surprise, this didn't work. Having the electrical knowledge of your typical potted plant, I decided to check the fuses, which tested fine. However, what I didn't check was my main switch not being adequately grounded (found this out when I had the diagnostics done...).

While I thought the diagnostics was expensive (150$ is 150$), I was mortified to find the price of a switch panel was 300-500$. At this point, I have decided to resort to Scamazon and found a pretty nicely rated part here. Going to see how well it works when it arrives tomorrow (It hopefully does because my next best alternative is 90$ on RockAuto).

So now I sit here, window plastic wrapped because its currently sitting halfway down, waiting for the part. Will let you all know how well it works.

I read somewhere on the Gen 2.5 forum the Chinese auto switches lack the safety stop if an arm or hand gets stuck in the window

Would be easy to just send power to the new window motor if you have a car battery or power tool battery and some wire laying around just to get the window shut.

Makes sense. Fortunately the plastic wrap stood up and nobody got too curious. New switch came in today and works great. Pretty happy to save over 300$ on the master switch. Put everything back together and windows work great.
