Going tomorrow to get prices for a 275/65r20 116T (34"x11") Nitto Recon Grappler. Not E rated but should be enough for what the truck does and some towing now and then. Rated for 2756lbs at 44psi vs the 3860lbs at 80psi E rated. Also, the 275's are only about 48 pounds per tire where my current 285/65's are about 60 pounds. Should improve a lot of things, HOPEFULLY ride is the major improvement.

The Toyota is made in Texas.
The Pirelli tires I bought are made in Rome, GA
    Hard to keep track.

for sure, I try to buy made in use with anything I buy, at least make an attempt first, obviously there are things you just cant but if you look in my house, everything you pick up will not say made in china, just a personal choice

but for the tires, I was glad they were made here, no balancing, wear or any other problems

great tire so far, wear much better than the KOs I had before, those get louder than hell after a while and the wet traction blows.

although I live in the middle of the desert now, so winter and wet traction isnt anywhere near as important as Northern IL winters, lol.

Your issue may be with the Black Axles, any lift above 2" you should be using the Red TRD axles, or even better the Silver PRO axles.

Congrats to the move South and the lack of heavy snow tire requirements.
Off road is off road but tires with AS and AT ratings are just fantastic. They've advanced so far in the past 10 years or so.

ya, my 70K platinum isn't going to see off-road anyways, its not really meant for that IMO.

if I get into that, I would get a cheaper dedicated off-road vehicle, but I have no interest in that for now.
