Hi all! Simple question upfront then I’ll explain. Can I swap the whole back hatch from one vehicle to another and keyless entry still work?
I have an 05 and 07 sequoia. I’m anticipating getting rid of the 05 soon. The 07 has working keyless entry. I’m guess like most of us the release mechanism broke in the hatch at some point. Well not sure what heavy handed inpatient being did this but the underside of the hatch is beat to hell the middle plastic around the plate is broke and held on with plate screw themselves not sure were the lock cylinder is etc. this hatch will closed enough to secure and lock but has a 1/2” play you can jiggle around and it doesn’t seal you can hear outside.

The 05 hatch is perfect. Even has the spoiler.

Back to the question. Can I just swap these hatch without interfering with the keyless entry on the 07. Is there any security module, rfid reader that I would have to swap as well? Thanks for any input.
