im new here so hello everyone
& any help would be much appreciated
    i just bought a 2011 tundra 4x4 with the 5.7 engine
the top 1/2 of the motor is missing (intake injectors throttle body)
my question is what year 5.7 parts will bolt on & if i have to do a engine swap what year
    5.7 engines will fit
my 5th digit is Y if that matters at all
    again thanks for any help

    Welcome!

If you are going to try to get the heads & intake and missing parts, I'd be certain the remaining 1/2 is not fubar.

I'm not a mechanic but I'd think any 5.7 for a 2007+ Tundra or 2008+ Sequoia will work. My 2010 needed a transmission and I got one from a 2018.

    Welcome & good luck.

Welcome to the forum.. Ensure the engine is not a flex fuel, either yours or the engine parts you're swapping over...... I'm no mechanic either just my 2 cents

    I just put a 2019 engine in my 2008-
it was a little bit different but easily adaptable.
The valve covers are a slightly different cast, which makes you have to lengthen wires for a couple sensors, also there’s a sensor on the intake that utilizes the same plug as the 2008 harness, but it’s got a larger nipple for a fatter hose on it, I just used that particular sensor off of my 2008 engine that I removed.
The air injection system is slightly different on the newer ones - everything still plugs up with the 2008 harness though- the difference is it has a coolant line going to the throttle body whereas the 2008 motor has a nipple coming out of the Y pipe for the Throttlebody.
My truck was non-flex fuel and the 2019 salvage engine was non-flex fuel as well every single thing plugged right up- I had to add two electric anti feedback sensors that were on my 2008, The 2019 engine didn’t have them, but there was a threaded hole on each valve cover to put them on so it was not an issue either.
