I am having the same issue I have a 2013 Tundra 4.6 V8. It started as crank with no start I had it towed to a local shop that I have dealt with before and they have done good work. They did some parking lot triage on it before they were going to pushing it in and start working on it. It had no fuel pressure to the rails, could not hear the fuel pump run when the key was turned on. The mechanic hit the fuel tank in a few spots and it started right up so we were thinking bad fuel pump. They replaced it with a Denzo fuel pump same ones that Toyota uses. I picked it starts fine, drive it home and it starts the next morning. I drive to work and get done go out to the truck to go home and no start. I beat on the fuel tank in a few different spots and it starts right up, I drive straight to the shop and explain what's going and they are willing to make right with me up to having the towing expense billed to them if I need it. Fast forward to this morning I go out to go to work and crank but no start, hit on the fuel tank it starts but only runs for 5-10 seconds then stalls out. Luckily I was able to get back in the driveway I just can't think of why hitting the fuel tank would make it start. Would it be a bad fuel pump module or bad relay or bad fuel pump I just don't know. I did have one of the emission filters changed last year when it sent the truck into "Limp" mode otherthanthat it hasbeen a solid truck. It has no engine mods, just an aftermarket remote start that has been installed by me for the last 5 yrs and i have had no issues with that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
