Any Rear Door/Cab-wind noise solutions?

Probly not as big an issue for newer Gens, but in this 1st Gen, Access Cab Im just finishing install of 6 speaker system upgrade.
Have a thread going on FGT forum for sound deadening* already, but figured the A-V forum might have more solutions for cab Wind noise [ *installed 80mil Kilmat for door sheet metal anti-resonance; trying to tighten it up for best SQ i can afford w/ out doing complete cab retrofit- haha, but not all past some peeps here.].
Currently waiting on a new interior handle fr/Toyota before buttoning it all up, so driving w/out door cards, but even before the cards were off, I could hear the wind noise [@ 45mph+] from either the 'old-ish' weather strip joint where doors join when closed, or from the rear door pivot-windows [probly both].

Either way, replacing those old weather strips sounds expensive and might not do much better than the 19 yr old wx strip in there now [also, lack of B pillar makes them a minumum seal to begin with].
Thought of adding CC foam into the recessed areas around the rear door cards themselves to make contact with door sheet metal once installed.
Would seem realtively simple and inexpensive since cards are off now, but how effective is it, if at all?

Thinking out loud here, but since these 'wind-noise zones' are nearly 100 outside of door card coverage, maybe foam in door cards not a solution at all, and only quieting down enuf to make wind noise more apparent?...
...its beginning to feel like a 'Wind-noise Rubiks cube'- a bit maddening...

So, if anyone has tried this, I'd like to hear about your "what and how", or whatever other solution worked for you.

Recommend reading this page from Resonix, probably the best write up I've found that goes into great detail about all types of sound deadening/absorber/decoupler etc. Long story short best thing to block outside noise is something with weight, most commonly mass loaded vinyl is used. Other common product on the market now is fiber mat which is essentially like thinsulate.

I think wind noise is from door joins or side pivot window. I think door cards/ door cavities arent much wind noise generators. My money says most is from panel open/close edges and joins, [where a B-pillar would otherwise exist] but IDK conclusively.

Thx @Snert... lots of info, but not much in way of wind noise treatments for existing window-door weatherstrips.
They seem to have a product for near everything 'car audio acoustics', except not much specific to my Wind Noise prob, but no big...i'll figure it out eventually.

Yeah I mean if that’s the sole problem you’re trying to solve think the only two answers would be replacing the weather stripping or adding foam around the door opening. I had a Tacoma for a little while and looked into it, can’t find the exact thread but I was looking for but I recall finding one where someone basically took foam topper seal tape/camper seal tape and put it around their doors, found a couple threads about a TSB for Tacomas and people talking about it:

@Snert...thx. the links for tacoma solutions look promising...easiest test would be the backer rod.

 

Update for any other AC owners, annoyed by cab wind noise.
Not a 100 improvement, or an end-all fix, BUT...
I hadnt noticed that my Rearside Pivot windows were not seating completely against the 'U-channel-moulding' on the sheet metal [of the window opening]; about 3/4 of its perimeter wouldnt make contact w/moulding w/the pivot latch locked shut. The gap was from a fat 1/8" to at min, 1/16". So i decided to try a cheap test: I stuffed 1/2" foam backer rod around entire window and hit the hiway for a 70mph test.
At least 80% quieter.
Of the remaining 20%....
I had suspected the door Wx-strip betwn Frt & Rr doors, but now that I tried the backer rod, I could listen much closer for any remaining wind/road noise. My conclusion is that my door Wx-strips, while 19yrs old, are not the offenders. The remaining wind/road noise I hear now is definitely from the Back Cab Wall; I plan to add some surface sound proof material in the future, as well as maybe look closely at any accessible cab-body seams for potential SeamSealer. IDK, it may be the entire floor of these cabs need an xtra layer of soundproofing, but for now I'll try the back wall.
At this point, happy to report some success, altho the 1st gr-kid in back cab will open the side pivot window [dumping my backer rod onto the road], and there goes my temp fix...not sure how to address as a permanent fix. The U-channel Wx-strip isnt a spongy material, at least not anymore...but if I were to find a similar shaped component, it would need to be at least 1/4" foam rubber on the window contact side.

 

Well, I guess this fell on 'dead ears' [pun intended], which maybe why theres not much replies.

Presuming not a lot of AC owners are as plauged by this rear window wind-noise issue, but Im going to try one of the HD adhesive foam [EPDM] strips as a 'Fixed-it' solution. Going this route only because of availability today, as Id like to get my door cards remounted this week. Not sure if EPDM vs. Silicone vs. ? is best choice, but if a better grade product is known, I can hold off on rear card re-install for a while [gotta get those frt doors done now tho- driving w/out em is a PITA].
If anyone knows of a better product or if this product will be toast in less than 24 months, Id like to hear your comments on a better adhesive foam rubber strip product.

I have an 02 AC and did a lot to the interior cab to attenuate noise including damping, closed cell foam, and then the mass loaded vinyl layer as you will find outlined in car audio forums such as diymobileaudio. Fact of the matter is that our trucks are loud and you are going to have to go to great lengths for small improvements and then you will be fighting rattles and whatnot. As for the rear side windows on the AC, I bought new hardware that pulls the window tighter against the molding. The passenger's side is was/is still a little loose so I now do not close the latch all the way as it actually pulls the window tighter when it is about halfway to its closed position. (go and play with it and you will see what I mean)

As for the molding (both main doors and rear), I inserted silicon(?) tubing inside of the molding rather than replacing the molding and this resulting in a tighter seal.

I have gone for an SQ build in my 02 and you can search out what I did to the interior on this site; it is documented but again if you want quiet (windnoise), the best bet is a vehicle with double pane windows like a lexus or tesla. Otherwise, just crank up the volume.

Yes, @robabeatle ...agree w/your comments/observations about these cabs, otherwise I think my time/effort dedication is nowhere as high as yours for quieting down these cabs. Im somewhat happy with just what Ive done so far[CLD + 1/4" CC Foam overlay to door skins and cards], but Im hoping I can get by w/out a loud amped system. Im eventually going to pull the bk seats and add CLD/CC Foam to the back wall and maybe the bk floor too.
The rear window gaps are fairly large on my cab, but the foam rod stuffed in there eliminated more than 80% of it. Now Im on the fence about either using a good grade adhesive 1/2" foam tape to semi-permanently seal, or just find a way to permanently seal mechanically; not a mod I want to do, but I cant think of a good reason to have these windows open anyway, short of having a dog in there.

 

I hear ya. I never open the AC rear windows...

 

Just added self adhesive weather strip around the pivot side windows in hopes of sealing out the wind noise.

BTW, when I purchased, I pre-measured and can swear i came up w/57", so I bought 10' thinking Im safe. Turns out what you see in 1st & last pic is Exactly half of the 10' piece. 5' even to get around perimeter.
Also, my initial window gap measures were conservative estimates..some of the gap was as much as 3/8" and smallest was 3/16".
