Dude asks us about beds; purple beds to be precise; another dude asks about how often we buy beds was wondering if there was a conspiracy occurring; so I'm simply tied together conspiracies and the color purple and boom!!!

    :nuclear:

See.... logical progression, plus you learned something today :hattip:

Idk why beds are a topic here, but we have the sleep comfort ones where you can adjust the head and or foot of the mattress. His/her side

You can blame that BS on your little crony larry who decided to put up some BS poll about a bed in a box...

When he should be thinking about getting a box in a bed ;)

Anyhow, looks like our 3 days of fog, clouds and rain and leaving us, and we're back to having the damn sun up

So, I am going to take my algorithm computin' brain and head off to bed for some well earned sleep... this way, I'll be able to wake up charged and refreshed for a pleasant night of dark skies and moon light

PS>>> @T-Rex266 you really need to think about revoking Larry's polling privileges...

PPS>>> Or if you feel compelled to allow him some freedom, I say limit his polling privileges to Canadian threads only :canada:

PPPS>>> Ah, screw it... let him poll in the British threads as well, so he and #olddudesmokinadoobonaraft will have somthing to discuss :D

I've lived here for 30 years, and we've always had Sandhill Cranes in the field that meets up with the yard because of the ponds and canal that run through it. In all that time they've never come over to this side of the canal.

Today they actually came into the yard!

No first hand experience with this particular critter, but as a card carrying PETA member I approve of this statement.

I hear them referred to as "the ribeye of the sky" more than once.

Still not sure I could hunt one. Got a soft spot for most birds.

    Nice.
I have a water channel that runs through the back of the yard, then a pond beyond that.
We get a few Sandhills, Great Blue Herons and Egrets as well.
But mostly ducks and geese. And when the geese arrive, it's goose poop central, but only on the opposite side of the pond from me. You can barely walk on the walking path between the stream and the pond.
I'm perfectly happy that they stay on that side.

Visited the local town museum today. Some cool buildings preserved from the late 1800s / early 1900s.

    From the one room schoolhouse:

Summer finally came back. So nothing to do for it but a trip to our local brewery. Cirtus beer. Yum

Things have changed so fast since then, wow!

Which brings me back to Ms. Chester, my 2nd grade teacher in the mid 70’s. She was sooooo hot. And really nice. She would teach us math, play guitar for us, and she wore tight sweaters. She smelled really good for a teacher. She would sit and read us books and sometimes she wouldn't cross her legs. 2nd grade, good times. She would do competitions, and she would take the monthly winner to Dairy Queen. Damn, we worked hard.

I don’t think I slept much at all last night.
(About 5 hours according to my watch).
Checked on my sister this morning. Doing the best she can. I know she’s really been wanting to go see whatever comedian. I was able to find, and purchase two tickets for her and best friend to go. This will help keep her mind distracted for the evening; so I thought. She had a breakdown, but I was able to get her spirits back up, fortunately.
