Just got a new Scangauge 3 and noticed the scangauge does not turn off when I shut off the ignition. It just goes into sleep mode.

I noticed that the screen stays on for quite a while and when I was cleaning my truck and it was still plugged in the screen turned on while the truck was off an hour after I shutoff the truck.

Anyone experience any major battery drain when you leave it plugged in?

Is there a way to make it turn off when the truck is turned off.

Any information would be great. Thanks!

Per page 7 of the user manual (https://www.scangauge.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/SG3_User_Manual_1.2.pdf), it should go into sleep mode 12 seconds after the vehicle is powered down. It then says that starting the engine, or tapping the scangauge twice will cause it to turn back on. Did you happen to touch it while your truck was off?

Additionally, on page 18 of the manual it mentions that there is a risk of drain if the sleep event settings have been altered for a hybrid vehicle. I'm assuming you do not have a hybrid given the forum you're posting this in, but it would be worth checking to see if that is your issue.

I've had it on my truck for more than a year haven't had any battery issues always leave it plugged in, it should stay on for a bit then turn off

No battery drainage here. Works as it should.

It goes into sleep mode few seconds after I shut off the truck n boots right up when I start up. Also as stated, double tapping will turn the screen on.
